Salvador Allende served as President of Chile for less than 3 years before falling to a violent, US backed coup. Despite his brief presidency, Allende's accomplishments were abundant, showing the reach of a planned, socialist economy to pull people out of poverty, and move towards a better world.  This book hopes to show the integrity, courage and passion of a man often associated with the brutal end he met by the empire.
